Baked Rotini Pasta with Meat Sauce

Ingredients
½ lb. ground beef or ground turkey
15 oz. tomato sauce
3 oz. tomato paste
1 lb. Rotini (spiral pasta)
½ cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Grated cheddar cheese
1 clove garlic chopped
1 ½ tbsp chopped onions
Dash of ground oregano leaves
Dash of ground Italian seasoning
Instructions
½ lb. ground beef or ground turkey

3 oz. tomato paste
1 lb. Rotini (spiral pasta)

Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Grated cheddar cheese

1 ½ tbsp chopped onions
Dash of ground oregano leaves
Dash of ground Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Sauté garlic until golden brown. Add onions and continue sautéing until transparent.
- Add ground beef or turkey and continue cooking until slightly brown. Add salt and pepper to taste (You can add more later as you taste it).
- Add tomato sauce, water, and brown sugar. Cover and cook on medium for about 5-7 minutes.
- While waiting for your tomato sauce mix, cook the pasta as per instruction. Drain after it’s done.
- Add tomato paste and stir until the paste mixes well with the sauce. Cover and cook for another 7-10 minutes.
- Taste if you need to add more salt, pepper, and/or sugar.
- Add oregano and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until sauce is thick.
- Return the drained pasta in the same pot you used for cooking it. Pour the tomato sauce mixture into the pasta and mix well.
- Transfer the mixed pasta and sauce to a baking dish. Sprinkle grated cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Serve with parmesan cheese.
