THE FLOW OF HIS PRESENCE

The Lord gave me a vision recently. In this vision I was laying on a beach and the ocean began to flow back and forth over my body. First it flowed over my legs. Each time the water covered more and more of my body. Eventually only my face was not covered. I could feel a slight panic from within as I thought," How will I breathe?" but yet I layed there.
The water then covered my face. I held my eyes tight fearing the burning of the salt water in my eyes. I also held my breathe, careful not to inhale any water. As the water remained over me I decided to open my eyes. At first I could feel a slight sting. But I continued to open my eyes wide. I could see the beautiful blue of the sky through the water and there was no more sting in my eyes. But still I held my breathe.
Suddenly I found I wasn't laying down any longer. I was in the middle of the ocean. The bottom could not be seen below me.
I decided to take a breathe slowly. When I did the water filled me like air. I was surprised yet trusting. I opened up my lungs to take a deep breathe. Here I was breathing in this place that I shouldn't be able too. The urge to move came over my body and I began to dance in the ocean.
HALLELUJAH!!!
I am sure the Lord is giving many of you all kinds of revelation at this point. But I just want to touch on the basis of what he showed me. The Lord showed me that this represents how it is from the point that we first enter into his presence up until the point where we are fully submerged in it. This process begins with the Lord slowly and continually guiding us towards him.
One thing that stood out and I inquired the Lord on was the fact that at the beginning of the vision as the water covered me more and more I felt like I couldn't move although I was obviously frightened. The Lord replied by showing me that often when we enter into the presence of the Lord it can be fearful to our flesh and new to our spirit. But it's also when we have reached a point of hopelessness and desperation for change in our lives that we finally become locked in place before him. This is when we start to see that our way has gotten us no where therefore we decide to seek God's way.
The more we lay in that place of surrender to the Lord the more we are drawn into his presence. We learn to trust him with even more of ourselves over time. And our eyes slowly open to who he is and who we are in him. Eventually we are drawn into the depths of God. No longer is hopelessness or desperation keeping us locked in but we have now discovered the true love and intimacy of the Lord. This is a place of oneness with Christ where our very breathe is surrendered to him. It's a place of freedom and joy in the Lord because we can finally see that there are no limits in him.
Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
