HOW MY WIFE'S SUBMISSION CHANGED ME
JANUARY 2013
by Jason Maki
I asked my husband to write about how my submission to him has affected him. We never talked about this and so I wanted to hear it straight from his mouth, not only for my own benefit but for the benefit of other wives. It is good to know how our own obedience to God affects our husbands. What you will read here is something beyond what I expected to hear. It surely encouraged and motivated me to take my “submission” even farther. May you be encouraged as well. (Lisa Maki)
There is nothing hotter than a woman of virtue, a woman with a spirit of excellence. This excellence has a great respect for YAH (God).
It is very easy to find a woman that operates in the flesh. As for a woman who walks on water, it takes great faith to find her. In fact God Himself has to present her to you. A woman who fears the Lord is worthy of praise. A woman who fears the Lord is so concerned with lining up with the Father's awesome and endless Word! This kind of woman submits almost effortlessly to the Word of God, through the power of His Holy Spirit. She submits to her husband, owning up to the calling of "helpmeet" Biblically: A helper ... A partner. Many times she knows she may be right beyond her husband but through humility and fear of getting in the Father's way, she relies on her faith to exercise patience in love. HalleluYAH.
I, personally, having been married now for 5 years, am so very thankful, so very appreciative for my wife's drive in meditation on the topic of being a "helpmeet". It is her great fear of the Lord, her great respect for the Lord, the FATHER, that has her desiring to be an all-star in her position within our marriage. Anything within a true believer's marriage that succumbs to the perfect will of the Father is automatically in charge by Divine order. Her "lining up" with the mighty Word of God, by nature, lines me up to it. Her obedience puts into effect a standard that cannot be dodged given I AM a true follower of Christ empowered by His Spirit. Her determination to see God get the glory through her character is just the right challenge to humble me and create in me an energy in the same direction, coz when the Spirit is moving and developing our One Flesh into greater obedience and understanding, I can't help but adopt a hotter walk as well. I am so delighted with my Queen. AMEN.
