HOW I GOT INTO THE MESSIANIC MOVEMENT
It took me several years to even begin to embrace the move. I was attending a very booming local Foursquare church when I first came to Christ/ got saved. One day sitting in the back a cat came to me and said, "Hey you want some real heat/meat, stop by my dad's church." He gave me directions. So I popped in, always willing to try something fresh, and wow! I was floored by a guy who seemed to have endless knowledge about tying Scriptures together. I couldn’t quite tell what it all was about. They occasionally spoke/prayed in Hebrew and their worship wasn’t quite that of Foursquare. Plus the teachings were so collegiate I couldn’t help but fall asleep all the time.
I agreed the place was the truth though, and had my head bust open that I really didn't comprehend my own belief that well. So every couple months I would pop my head in there and it always felt the same, like wow these guys just don't quit! Being nicknamed “babymoses”, I always had a strong conviction towards Old Testament stuff and the Ten Commandments, most
especially the fourth one: to keep the Sabbath holy. And these were one of the few churches that took Sabbath seriously. It was like they were on a whole different plain.
Yet a few years later, God kept bumping me into the pastor's son, and I was reppin Jesus hard but still felt compelled by his talk of Hebraic numerology, and the numbers leading to a comprehension of God's universal DNA. It was crazy how much deep revelations he was getting! Plus the same awesome worship leader/voice that was from my local church that I valued so much, she moved over to the Messianic church and the church was flourishing like never before. Several of my own cats I had helped disciple were also mysteriously migrating that way, and pretty soon we were all into Jewish type stuff. Realizing Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi, we became more and more curious.
Nowadays, our pastor doesn't want us to convert to Judaism, but rather, comprehend replacement theology and antisemitism as well as the Jewish ways of life/traditions so that we can see what is missing with today's Christianity. My pastor is a Catholic convert who also has Jewish roots, so he is preaching from the authority of where Yah God has brought him from. He is truly a humble teacher. Recently he discovered how in 2015 there will be lunar eclipses mysteriously on God's feast days. He shows us how if we follow Torah and understand that Yeshua/Jesus is the living Torah, and go by the original calendar, then we can intimately better understand our Messiah and his rabbinic ways and even why, and how near He will return for us ... our Father, our King.
You don't have to do no crazy conversion or nothing to be a part of this church. In fact you can live stream every Saturday morning 10am at http://elshaddaiministries.us/.
This is awesome because you have no excuse not to. It may interfere with wordly Saturday mindset but being Shabbat, it puts Yah first and a smile on our Master's face since the command is to put Him first in all we do anyway.
I have witnessed first hand the awesome flood of God and uprising of this move. My pastor/leader/teacher went from about a thousand viewers nationwide to millions in the past couple years. I really discern a refreshing unlike other places, many of which are growing stale. I was told all you have to do is experience the feast celebrations one time for yourself and you will see. September 16 of this year was the first time in years of attending that I actually made it to the Feast (moed - meaning Yah God's appointed time) of Trumpets (Rosh Hashana) and I was immensely blessed as we re-crowned our King Yeshua, a very intimate and entirely Biblical level that is completely missing from much of America's understanding of the church.
Even recently pastor John Hagee came through and recognized us up here in Tacoma as having a move like he has never seen. God is powerfully moving in this ministry and it is completely from comprehension of his holy Word, time, and seasons. You can easily be a part online no matter where you are.
In fact, be a bridge to help others understand more of what we believe about the Messiah, it is greatly needed and does not happen overnight. Look at me I have been zealous since 2003 and here it is 2012 before I really began to comprehend it all.
Plus the Bible talks of salvation being poured out on the Gentiles, in which it has, provoking many Jews to jealousy, but also resulting in them recognizing Yeshua/Jesus as their brother in which case brings the power of salvation/Holyspirit on them, connecting many dots and exalting them greatly in prophecy. So we as believers must be prepared to embrace them and their culture in understanding and great love. Yah bless you and Shalom.
