I see something beautiful
Blossoming inside of me;
An air of tranquility
That soothes my soul,
Despite the trials and uncertainties,
My weaknesses and infirmities.
I feel something wonderful,
Taking place in my heart;
A sense of contentment
That pacifies my predicament;
An assurance, a hope,
That one day, in the near future
I will be made complete and more mature.
It’s more than what my mind thinks,
And far beyond what my heart feels;
In the stillness of my spirit,
And the gentleness of His presence
I hear Him telling me …
“In a little while my princess, in a little while.”
And as I wait for this man who will complete me,
I am drawn closer to the One who knows me intimately;
As my spirit meshes with His spirit,
I hear and see; I discern what it will be.
I’m beginning to see,
A clearer picture of reality;
It’s almost too close,
Yet I can only look at a distance;
It seems so real,
Yet I can only see at a glance.
Images cross my mind,
of being with him forever;
I wonder how our eyes will lock
When we finally see each other;
I see our hands clasped together
As we lift them up to the Father
In awe and thanksgiving,
With tears in our eyes,
To the God of the living.
As I expect with so much anticipation,
I realize that this is in preparation,
Of a much awaited day and time,
Promised throughout generation,
A day when the One we’ve been waiting for,
Will finally take us and make us whole.
He will present us to the Father,
Blameless, spotless, and perfect like Him;
And be finally joined together as one,
Throughout eternity like Him we will become.
This is the mystery that I’m talking about,
An enigma that can only be seen
Through the lens of the spirit
A reality that can only be visualized
Through they eyes of faith.
As this mystery unfolds before my eyes,
I can only watch with wonder,
At how intricate and perfect
The Master will finish all these,
Creating a work of art
That will stun those who see,
Putting to silence those who didn’t believe.
As the Potter continues to mold His clay,
I totally submit so as not to cause delay;
As I am squeezed, punched, and kneaded,
I cry in pain while rejoicing in every blow,
As I allow the touch and grip of the Master to flow.
And on that day,
Perfected the way He designed it,
He will clothe His princess
With a garment as white as snow;
And as she marches down the aisle
To finally meet her groom,
Her Father, with a big smile beaming on His face will say
“Finally my daughter, you are complete.”
Now I can perfect both of you,
And give you both what is due;
Together you can continue fighting the battle,
And conquer the devil whose ways are so subtle;
Then I will crown you as prince and princess,
As you rule with me in heaven’s recesses;
Throughout eternity we will live together,
With no more end, forever and ever.
