THE YEAR 2019
by: LISA MAKI
Prophetic Leader
The year 2019 will be marked by the rising of women in high places in politics and business. More laws for women’s protection and rights will be passed. More opportunities will be opened for them. This rise in power will create more uprising. It will fuel the vengeful spirit that is already brewing inside of them, a spirit that resides in the unhealed and infected wounds in women’s hearts.
WOMEN OF GOD
While this is going on, God is going to position ‘His women’ strategically in dry places. He will send them like watered gardens, making others thirsty for Him. He will send His prophetesses, teachers, evangelists, apostles, and pastors to the marketplace, government, entertainment, schools, and other places outside of the walls of the church.
Women of God will rise up as leaders that will confound the world. They will not look like the traditional “church people” that the world is so familiar with. They will be like undercovers who will easily blend in with the world, and yet be so set-apart because of their holiness and integrity.
Women of the world will trust them. They will be the mothers and grandmothers they had or never had. They will deliver the good news and they will be a great host (Psalm 68:11). A lot of healing will take place. There will be an influx of “women in the well” who will turn their lives around to Jesus.

STANDING IN THE GAP
Because of the uprising of women in 2018 that was heightened by the “Me Too” movement, men have begun to back off. The unpredictability and emotional tantrums of women, plus the solidarity that they have as a gender have made men wary of them, almost like walking on eggs around them.
In the church scene, there are a number of women who have assumed the role of captain of the ship because their husbands who are supposed to steer the ship have failed in doing so. After waiting for their husbands to finally get right with God, they finally realized that somebody has to stand in the gap. |
THE DEBORAH SPIRIT
There will be a rising up of the Deborah spirit. Men will recognize the authority of God in their wives. They will begin to respect them more, and even follow the leading of the Holy Spirit through them. They will be judges and prophetesses who will guide the men wisely.
These women who God has specifically chosen will not take over the men. Just like Deborah, they recognize the role and position of men. They will fight for the men and even with them, but will never take over. This will make them so different from the women of the world whose agenda is to take over.
There will be a lot of healing and deliverance that will happen to men of God as a result of the women standing in the gap. They will recover and will slowly gain back their rightful place in God.

FROM BARRENNESS TO FRUITFULNESS
The year 2019 will be a year of fruitfulness. It will be a season of harvest coming from unexpected places, places where we have sown into but have forgotten.
Isaiah 49
19 “Surely your waste and your desolate places and your devastated land—surely now you will be too narrow for your inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up will be far away.20 The children of your bereavement will yet say in your ears:‘The place is too narrow for me;make room for me to dwell in.’21 Then you will say in your heart:‘Who has borne me these?I was bereaved and barren, exiled and put away, but who has brought up these?Behold, I was left alone;from where have these come?’”
22 Thus says the Lord God:“Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
23 Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord;those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.”

THE FIGHT
All these will not take place without us putting up a fight. It is not the kind of fight that the world is familiar with, but the kind of fight that is won only through our unflinching faith and trust in God and what He says He will do. This fight is a balance between humility and confidence, courage and meekness, love and uncompromising stance, wisdom and purity.
This fight is the same fight and struggle that the prophet Habakkuk had when he asked God: “O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear?Or cry to you ‘Violence!’ and you will not save? Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong?Destruction and violence are before me;strife and contention arise. So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous;so justice goes forth perverted (Habakkuk 1:1-4).”
We will continue to see evil around us. We will see a more divided nation. We will see angry people out in the streets. We will see Christians themselves who will join an angry mob protesting against our government.
Our perseverance in fighting the good fight of faith will bring about not only the fruition of what God has promised, but a great strengthening of our inner man that will give us the ability to conquer and succeed.

The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! (Habakkuk 3:19)
